The goal is freedom to speak publicly with out fear of arrest and persecution. Chinese authorities might like to crack down on the communication of the internet but the problem is that tech advances at a faster rate than authorities can create policies to stifle the effects of innovation. Reminds me of what happened in the ol’ West. Bank robbers back then were always looking to use the latest advances in tech to rob banks and the authorities were always trying to play catch up to the tech that the bank robbers had. Wait....that still happens today.
